SAFE Project Presented at the University of Tuscia’s PRIN Study Day

On February 19, 2026, the PRIN PNRR “”SAFE”” project (the SustainAbility of italian Film hEritage) was presented in Viterbo during the doctoral seminar “”Giornata di Studi dedicata ai PRIN””.
The event, held at the Conference Hall of the Santa Maria in Gradi Library Hub at the University of Tuscia, was organized as part of the PhD program in Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage. The initiative aimed to transform research projects funded by the MUR into educational “”case studies,”” providing doctoral students with a cognitive map of the logic behind institutional research and competitive design.
On this occasion, Serena Bellotti and Valentina Valente delved into the operational aspects of the research with a presentation titled “”Monitoraggio, Data Visualization e Indagine Etnografica del Patrimonio Filmico Non-fiction in Italia””.

During the session, they shared the methodologies applied by the SAFE team for safeguarding non-fiction heritage with the academic community and young researchers. Their intervention highlighted the vital importance of interdisciplinarity and technological innovation in the protection of cultural assets, fostering a collaborative network between professors, researchers, and PhD candidates.
