Activities

SAFE invests in applied research actions with the aim of creating advanced knowledge, tools, and skills related to the critical aspects of heritage sustainability, shared between the worlds of research, education, and the conservation of moving images.Ā

The three metadesign workshops organized by SAFE were aimed at internal training for the project partners and were open to the entire academic and archival community. Structured as roundtables, these workshops featured international experts from major European and North American archives and research centers, who shared practices and discussed current issues in the sustainability of conservation infrastructures, digital preservation, and stewardship strategies for film heritage. These contributions now form a key body of work for an initial introduction and framework of the main themes of the project.Ā
The presentations and interventions are available in open accessĀ
